<p>Karate’s most massive event to be held in Venice<br />
The 2022 Karate 1-Youth League Venice will be held this weekend. The tournament in Venice is the most massive karate competition of the year and it is scheduled from December 9 to 11.</p>
<p>Over 2500 athletes from 58 countries have registered to participate in the event. This tally makes the Karate 1-Youth League Venice the most-attended tournament of the year and it further demonstrates the popularity of Karate among youngsters.</p>
<p>The future stars of the sport will gather in Venice for three anticipated competition days, from Friday to Sunday with finals being held at the end of each competition day.</p>
<p>The bouts for gold will be available live on the WKF YouTube channel. Fans can catch all the action of the finals on each competition day on the WKF YouTube channel.</p>

<p>Massive WKF Youth Camp underway in Porec</p>
<p>The 2022 WKF Youth Camp &amp; Cup started Monday in Porec (Croatia). The most massive activity for young karatekas, the WKF Youth Camp &amp; Cup is a celebration of the many values of the sport and the passion for Karate among youngsters.</p>
<p>As the development of youth Karate is one of the core principles of the WKF, the WKF Youth Camp &amp; Cup has become the main activity to highlight the strength of the sport at young ages.</p>
<p>The 2022 WKF Youth Camp &amp; Cup began Monday with the first day of training sessions. The young participants take part in sessions of Kata and Kumite that are headed by some of the best Karate athletes in the world.</p>

<p>The training sessions this year are led by Olympic Games medallist Viviana Bottaro of Italy, current World champion Douglas Brose of Brazil, and former World titleholder Ivan Leal of Spain.</p>
<p>The 2022 WKF Youth Camp is scheduled from June 27 to 29. On June 30 young athletes will participate in the U12 and U21 Cup.</p>
<p>It is the second time that the event is held in the idyllic city of Porec, where the hundreds of young karatekas travelling from all five continents find the best conditions for several days of entertainment and Karate. The WKF Youth Camp &amp; Cup celebrates its 14 edition this year, a testament to the tremendous popularity of Karate among youngsters.</p>

<p>Massive celebration of Karate at Grand Prix Croatia</p>
<p>The city of Samobor hosted a massive edition of the Karate Grand Prix Croatia. Over 1800 athletes from 28 countries gathered at the memorable event.</p>
<p>The popularity of Karate was once again showcased this weekend as no less than 1800 karatekas from 28 countries participated at the prestigious Karate Grand Prix Croatia which reached its 30th edition.</p>
<p>No less than 99 categories took the stage at the tournament, including the inspiring representatives of the Para-Karate divisions. In the Senior categories, Elena Roversi of Italy and Hungary’s Botond Nagy claimed the titles in the Kata competition, while local representative Boran Berak won the crown in the Open Kumite division.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Hosts of Croatia topped the medal table of the event with a total of 105 medals including 32 golds. Italy and Slovenia with 58 and 22 medals respectively also registered deserving performances.</p>
<p>The opening ceremony of the event was headed by the president of the Croatian Karate Union and EKF Secretary-General Davor Cipek, and was attended by many local and national top officials, including the mayor of Samobor Petra Skrobot, the director of the Ministry of Tourism and Sport, Kresimir Samija, the secretary-general of the Croatian Olympic Committee Sinisa Krajac and the president of Zagreb County Sports Federation Vladimir Bregovic.</p>

<p>No less than 33 countries were represented at the event.</p>
